Well yeah, that was my point.
I'm fairly Green at heart, trained as a marine ecologist, work in coastal policy advocacy, think Sharks are the very pinnacle of physiological excellence, but I'm also same enough to see the illogical and hypocritical nature of some of the protests against nets and drum lines.

Crazy times.
I have a photo taken from the lift at Whistler of a black bear rooting through the snow, between ski tracks.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Grizzly bears are protected. You can only shoot a grizzly if it is in the process of attacking you. Otherwise, the dangerous bears would be reported and they would be relocated.

There's a legal hunt of brown(grizzly) bears in Alaska.

I was wondering about that. but pretty much every attack is from beneath and behind. pretty sure if you didn't
get a chunk taken out last thing you be doing is trying to pull some pissy little knife out as a big set of jaws are
bearing down on you....
and the ones that bump usually just piss off anyway.
geez south wall will be uncrowded this summer. either that or the ferry takings will increase 1000% on ne days...

thing could go pear shaped. mates daughter got semi knocked out at school 3 months ago. cant
do any sport till after xmas, and only 2 weeks ago had to go for mri as her eyesight started playing up.
remember alcohol can increase swelling to fresh injuries. id lay off the piss mate

thanks Brendo.

surfed S. wall a bit last summer and I was either the only one there sitting in the carpark waiting for someone to show up or there were 2 or 3 blokes out.

Bit late, but what Brendo said Steve. Be overly cautious. It's not worth messing with head injuries. Something that appears minor can turn serious a few hours later.
