I rode a really nice wave a few weeks ago, I'd rate it 1100 lumens for how it lit up my soul.

Soon online board sales website will be matching board volume to wave kilojoules. Watch this space

What I'm really looking forward to is a conversion chart from the Iggy wave measuring guide to kilojoules.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Also, are the waves getting their kilojoules from mostly carbs, or are they high protein kilojoules? Big difference :)

The basic factual errors were so egregious I'm afraid I doubt every single thing about it, including this ludicrous energy rating via kj they have cooked up.

Seriously, do people of above average intelligence believe everything they read on the internet?
This is exactly the kind of half-baked pseudo site favoured by euro kooks and israelis who don't have the benefit of a developed surf culture which can at least attempt to smell bullshitt when it is put in front of them.
Don't see any value at all in your diatribe.

I've been using that site for over 5 years and its been pretty much spot on every day for where I've surfed in Indonesia: kJs accurately reflect the combination of both period and swell height, and even the 3 hour predictions are usually correct, taking into account wind, swell direction, arrival and decay of multiple swells. Yeah I could do it all in my head with the wind and tide and swell data - and I used to - but why bother, their algorithms work better and way quicker.

It might not work for Lennox, which would be good, inaccurate surf prediction sites are the best of all, but if they are accurate for where I surf I'll use them.

The rest of the surf industry still relies on the Imperial Measurement System so could we use calories instead?

Yesterday I surfed three foot Iggy scale waves, that were about 1200 kilojoules, on a board around 38 litres of volume. Though upon exit, if I had my time over again, I'd have surfed the mid peak down the beach, that was breaking on a shallower wedging bank, thereby amplifying the waves to almost four foot Iggy scale, and around 1320 kilojoules, on a board that had around 35 litres of volume.

But was your board 188cm or 193cm long?

I can never decide between 6.98 and 7.05 for a 190.5 board.

It's an eighties thruster therefore beefed up.
My standard good wave thruster (for clean punchy 3-6 foot) is around 31 or 32 litres.

I "up the volume" when the waves have less kilojoules.
