Surfed from 2-4pm. Plenty closeouts then also. But ya know, wait for the right one, pick your line etc. instead of paddling deep you had to position yourself wider as the rip on the rights was running north to south and pretty strong for its size. Too deep you’d just get faded.

Some of them had a decent shoulder and ran a fair length with a nice inside bowl to tear along. The midlength made things a lot easier than they otherwise would’ve been, shifty bumpy etc.
I got in after 1615. The best wave I saw was ridden by a middle aged guy on a high volume shorty. Smooth and flowing. Quite a few Hyptos in the water too. And yeah, it was pretty rippy. Lots of paddling.

Hyptos are a good choice for Wanda to greenhills. Flowing and walled up.

4hrs in the surf today. Kept saying to myself I’ll go in when the N/E wind kills it. Wind didn’t get strong enough. Had to have a little nap when I got home.

Dodgy afternoon paddle at Bronte. Waters nice. Cops had blocked off Queen Elizabeth Drive at Bondi. Traffic chaos. Would have gone out there or Tama if I got a park.

Late one at DY. Wind backed off, crowd disappeared. Still some chest-high ones about. Now having a post surf chardonnay.

Ha ha, no. I’d rather pull my eyes out with a corkscrew. AFL and cricket.

My local.
Nice cool morning, hopefully a sample of things to come.
Sneaky little SSW breeze coming round behind the headland and out across the park and into the wave faces.
Shortish period and a bit full but lots of fun.

Oh. And our cam has been down since mid January. They've even taken away the mounting.
The web site says it's "undergoing an upgrade"
Upgrade away guys. Just put it back somewhere else.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Dawnie at Nicks local. Only 2ft but super clean and pretty consistent. 6 blokes out. All mature age. What’s with the groms up there? All hellmen?

Fun session at the local on the late. The banks in front of the pavilion still result in a lot of close outs but the tide was high enough to help things out.

Should have gone there instead of down the end.....but I got a park and it looked bigger. Would have been fun without the crowd......and I cut my heal....quads.

Things have been quiet on the bukit, swell around 1-2 occasionally 3'. No crowds though, usually surfing with a couple of locals, sometimes by myself, so getting some ok waves.

Yesterday lit up though at about 10am. Everyone was at spot 1 where I had been surfing once or twice daily and no-one was at spot 2. Just as I paddled out a two wave, well-overhead set came through.

Conditions were perfection but with only a few set waves every 10-20 minutes. Surfed by myself for an hour before 2 mates came out for the next 2 hours.

Had a rest and went back out at 3:30pm for another 3 hours. Only about 4 of us, surfed until sunset. Only caught a dozen head high waves all day, but conditions were so good it was a joy just to sit on a board and enjoy the experience, no stress, no hastling, desultery conversation in between.

Waves were really really good today. Clean till 2pm and solid mixture of ESE and ENE. Then surged later into a bit bigger and more direct. NE wind wrecked it a bit though

Ulus was a mess this morning at 6am, onshore and raining. Checked again at 9am and it was glassy with the swell still hanging in there at 1-2' with an occasional 3'.

I hot footed it out there with my 6'1 and surfed by myself for an hour at spot 1 before 2 others joined me. Again no hassles, no-one joined us for another hour and it got better as the tide dropped. By 11:30am it was crowded so I paddled in.

Onshore again in the afternoon with a dropping swell so didn't bother going out again.
