She was quite knowledgeable about surf etiquette.

Steve is repeatedly on the record as being very opposed the aggressor’s actions in the attack on Jodie Cooper

You seem unable to let go of this butthurt Thud.

What’s the problem? Really?

The comp was comprehensively rejected by the local community.
Anyone bringing a functional skill set and a reasonable attitude will have a ball out there.

If you act like a fcukwit you might get regulated.
Just let me know what you’ve gained by repelling the WSL event. You haven’t actually stated what that might be.

No one would accuse Shearer of condoning that behaviour.

However, Shearer are you saying that Cooper was in the wrong re: surfing behaviour?

I’ve written thousands of words on it, posted up audio links to radio interviews.

The case has been made.

If you don’t agree, fine.
I’m won’t be relitigating it to satisfy your peculiar brand of obtuseness.

You’ve said nothing in those words. Well nothing that makes sense. The whole “we beat the big guy” isn’t a reason. Pretty much a smoke screen.

It’s a case of a bunch local blokes not wanting to give up a public wave. I just want to hear you say it.

And now Im reading an inference that Jody Cooper was a contributor to the crime committed against her.

Impartial journalism out the window.

Don’t answer. I’ve made my mind up.

Sigh.

You see it that way, fine.

We saw it exactly the opposite. Preventing a corporate takeover of a public space by devious and dishonest methods.
Public spaces belong to the community not American billionaires.
They need a social licence to lock the community out of their own public space.
They didn’t have one.

They were too lazy, arrogant and incompetent to garner the support necessary to be granted that licence.

The timing was also crook. Worst possible time.

There were also concerns that it would change the character of the surfing amenity for ever.

There, I know you won’t listen to any of those points. I honestly don’t give a fcuk what you think.
I just feel compelled to correct your false narrative.

Can you clarify the Jody Cooper stuff. Sounds like you’re inferring she was partly responsible for the crime committed against her.

Just wondering

Your trolling game is going OK tonight Thuddy.

I prefer to believe that.
The alternative: that you mean what you say is too depressing.

It’s just the way you wrote it. I was surprised. I’m just not so sure how deep the Lennox brotherhood goes. I’d be surprised if you’d look to see anything but 100% fault on behalf of the perpetrator.

The first 2 questions pretty much every surfer asks everytime
1) How were the waves?
2) How crowded was it?

The better the surf spot, the more likely question 2 becomes question 1
These are the standard surfer questions
The question, was there any one famous out there, I’ve never heard that asked

As I said Thud.

The case was presented in front of a judge. Exhaustive evidence was presented and cross examined.

The perpetrator was found guilty and Jodie blameless.

I did not witness the attack but I saw every second of the court case.
Justice was served.

Mate, no one asks was it crowded.

It’s

A) how was it?
B) You get a few?

Or some typically banal surf chat.

If it was a Real Surfer it would be

A) read any good Russian literature?
B) is that a McCoy?

“You get a few,”, is addressing the same question as “was it crowded”.
If there is not more people than waves, then it is a redundant question

Funnily enough, the last time someone offered me the info there was someone famous out there was at Currumbin on a wild and wooly day a couple of years ago. There was some towing going on. Fanno was out there, but he was not mentioned. He is part of the furniture on the Goldie. The comment was, Chris Hemsworth is out there.

You’re right, but how was it the reply often includes a response about the crowd.
Same with ‘get a few?’
