Had a truely miserable grovel yesterday. Couldn't get a park at Tama or Bronte which were getting the swell but did get one at Bondi.

Quintessential Curl Curl surfing experience today. Spent 45 minutes paddling for a couple of flabby waves and a bunch on the head.

Greenhills 3 foot plus. Bit hit and miss but still some walled up runners amongst it. Surfed the 6’4 single and took the high line.

Fickle and less renowned spot 4-5' Pretty inconsistent but with 6'+ bombs keeping the big crowd on their toes. Decided f*ck it I'll pick up some of the small ones on the inside. Got one that ran for ages and ended up well wide of the break, just as I was bemoaning the long paddle back a monster set that seemed to have ten waves in it came through and mowed down everyone but me.

Contemplated a late surf but went for a swim instead. Reasonable size but dubious banks at the Eastern Suburbs top secret spot. First two set waves I saw featured five surfers on each one. Also about six near misses and a couple of prangs with people paddling out. Carnage.

Was kinda shit down the coast. Swell magnets were busy and messed up with the wind and everywhere else was small, slow and pretty lack lustre.

Pissed around and finally went for a paddle. Miraculously dodged the crowd and got a couple of stray sets out wide. Water was nice. The left was crazy packed by 7:00pm.

Good conditions, an erratic swell, a three hour session, stuff all people, stuff all waves, I could count them - like 30 overhead with a hand full of doubles in three hours.

I kinda expected it but was still a bit surprised by the long-interval feeling behind it
Could be another one of these pulses on Wednesday, very dependent on wind angle in the fetch up north, sadly might be in thew face of sse winds though.

Hey, this is the where did you surf today, not where might you surf tomorrow thread ... great tarding.

The wet season is kicking off. Glassy conditions this morning, patches of blue sky and fluffy white clouds in one quarter, dark clouds and heavy showers in another, skyline of volcanoes looming over the ocean - only five of us scattered around in the water enjoying the rain and the occasional wave.

Soon the narrow gangs we ride down on the back roads will be tunnels encased in greenery.

Took the missus out to our local which I won’t name in case Loofy bashes me. Absolute sheet glass conditions. Waist high and a peak to ourselves. Fun.

Nice.

Bondi was looking groomed and would have been fun if you bulldozed the 100 or so lunatics out there. Collisions everywhere.
Went for a run.

Thought I might have seen Skip with an advanced disabled guy. Respect if it was.
