Checked...64.....,still paddles like a mal but only 7'6". Made me imagine what those Walden Mini Magik boards must go like. They could be really good in certain conditions. That is fat and gutless.

Funnest sesh in ages. Million people out but hardly any catching waves, short period so lots coming through, banks reasonable.

Had a paddle at Tama for a change. Pretty average with "shoulder high" faces....depending on how high your shoulders are. Waters fresh.

Had a fun wave out the front today. Head high lefts and rights breaking into about two foot of water. Fair bit of push to it and only one other guy out at my bank. I fucking love the Goldy on days like these.

Why bother. It's crazy packed everywhere else.
I didn't want to surf the local today and my weekend regular wasn't getting the NE swell so I ended up at Thirroul. The other breaks north of it weren't working.

Parking was pretty hard to get at those places.

Went back down to Tama this arvo and managed to get a park :shock: We were only going for a swim but the surf was packed and actually much worse than the morning. Pretty sweet hang if you were a backpacker though. The number of Eurotrash Surfies living the dream is big around Tama. Tons of vans parked semi permanently.

Tide was a bit full by the time I got out but still got a few long rides.
Love riding a single fin egg in these sorts of waves.
