Surfed it yesterday, holee fcuk the crowd got so frothy.

wasn't that good.

Surfed so many super fun b-grade days this summer with minimal crowding, was quite a shock to get the full frothing crowd back.

Yeah. My point is dangerously crowded these school holidays.

The car park is full before dawn. 🤬

Have to get out there, pick up a few quick ride and get the hell out.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Shorter daylight hours, restrictive wind and swell angle.
Recipe for a crowd.

Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz for the early. Tide was super low and waves were hard to catch. Ended up catching a nice peeler after 45 minutes that went for about 50 metres and decided to call it after that. Wasn't going to wait another 45 and I had to get back to log in for work

Pleasure Point. Is there a better name for a nice surf spot?

Rainbow Bay next to Snapper used to be called Shark Bay because of the large number of sharks. Bit of a marketing name change.

Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas used to be called Hog Island.

It's a moot point (😉) now because it's pretty much non existent being buried under tonnes of pumped sand, but First Point at Noosa has long been known to the locals as "Pussy Point".

And yes, I've posted this before but it's truly one of the most appropriate place names I've ever heard.

First time I went to Noosa was in 1973. Two mates had bought a VW Beatle for $100. The heater was stuck on so it was a hot trip. Usually had to push it to start. Stayed in a caravan park back towards Noosaville. When we got back it broke down in front of the High School where the buses stopped. Stayed there for quite a while till it got towed.
