Yeah, must say I was a bit taken with Newie after not being back for quite a while. Caught up with some old buddies and checked out a few old haunts.

Be back there tomorrow if I had my way.

I like Newcastle. My father grew up there. But, I must say, Newcastle Beach has always lacked charm for me. I do love Nobbys Beach just around the corner.

What I loved when I was a student there was you could walk to about eight beaches from Cooks Hill.
So yesterday there was a left running off the pool....another couple of peaks south of the flags in front of that rock shelf and another peak right down the end towards the Bogey Hole that had no one on it. Cruisy vibe in the line up. 30+ degrees with a stiff offshore.
I don't particularly like Nobbys left. I prefer Dixon Park.

Whew so much surfing today! The swell backed down quickly in the arvo but still a heap of fun lil waves. I switched up to more solid wave boards for the first time this year, 6’0” channel and 5’11” MC round pin, really felt good to contact some speed and put some pressure on

Hassle free parking too
Re: Where did you surf today ?
3-4 ft clean as a whistle 2nd tier reef but it was better than the 1st tier spots today. Swell was a bit unusual for surf coast - consistent SW 12 sec swell, quite. Plenty of crew on it early but forecast was good all day - so went and had a coffee, read the news, tried on some wetties (didn't have my size) Went back about 11:30, a handful of guys in the water. Had an excellent session. Parking was also good, close to the walkway, good door clearance either side, good visibility backing out.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Have I mentioned the height of the new speed bumps in Bronte Cutting?

Swell has picked up on dark. Some straight lines breaking in about a foot of water

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Solid bit of swell coming through this morning, bit of chop but some good ones in there. The grey skies and southerly winds kept the lifestyle surfers away so minimal crowd.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Just got out from south Maroubra. Wind has really messed it up now but a couple or so hours ago there was quite a few solid 4 foot sets grinding away on the inside.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I surfed North end.
No doubt Channels and hia gronk mate BA are waiting for the swell to drop and sun to come out before they hit it.
