The bonzer out at Boomerang. Jeez it was super fun with hardly anyone (relative to Sydney) out.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Spending xmas with the Sydney glitterati in Pacific Palms? Is Karl up there?

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

My brother in law got banned for life from the Chardons Corner Hotel in Annerley in Brisbane. He organised a rugby scrum in the public bar.
He was the coaching director at South's RU Club (just across the road) at the time.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Very average waves partly out of the wind. Few ok turns in though
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Solid stand up barrels at Boomerang before the king tide killed it.

Bondi a bit of onshore fun. Crowds minimal and plenty of parks on the beachfront.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Bonzer a good board for Boomerang with its more powerful swell (well more than Sydney). Bar that it's clean 4ft up Autumn/Winter waves only for the bonzer IMHO.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
2-3 foot peaking beach break a few klms south of the gong. Bank to myself. Not a lot of push in the swell but a well shaped bank with some decent rides.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Best surf I've had in ages. Rights and lefts. Heaps of waves. Few people who could actually catch any and a pleasant vibe with a bit of a wait between sets. Rip kicked in towards the end and washed everyone out to sea. Struggle to get onto anything after that but the last one held up right across. Good fun....Bondi.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Had a lot of fun at home out the peak today, this arvo that is. Super low tide, lowest of the year, and a little SE swell under a moderate NE seabreeze.
These very traditional near Christmas conditions rang so many bells in my memory, and it must have done the same for a lot of the crew, because quite a few of us found our ways out at the same moment, both the Carroll brothers, the Maccas, Harry, Aaron Reilly, several others, a little wing of the Newport family swapping waves and good wishes. A bit of talk about the year now vanishing, a lot of laughs in between waves.
I was riding the banksy 6’9”, a board suited to much more resonant conditions than these but it felt so good, flowing from turn to turn. I was feeling so much pleasure from this surf that after one lovely little left, only 45 minutes in, I decided to pull the plug. There was a half exposed sandbar between the peak and the shoreline and as I wandered across it, nudging the board along by its tail into the little washes filtering over the sand, I experienced a moment of perfect peace, everything felt connected: memory, presence, the light, the wind, the water, the board half afloat on a ripple ahead of me, the sand rising toward the half-dune.

Well I went for a body bash in clean and shapely baby food. With a handplane.
And had a go on my daughters booger.
So there.
