To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

Hour before sunset: 1-3ft with a very odd bigger one. Low energy ocean. Light onshore wind.

Steve - given the size in sydney, why are you thinking it won't be much up your way?

how big in Sydney?

I've heard varying reports.

looks a stormy 6ft from photos I've seen.

Which is close enough to what I'm expecting here.

It''s just interesting to compare MSW forecasts/reports and the actual reality in a highly hyped swell event.

They are saying 11.5ft at 15s.

4 stars.

Here's the actual surf about a half hour before sunset.

This afternoon it rose to around 8-10’, maybe bigger on some sets, very windblown

I think we'll lose a fair bit of that because the fetch is tucked in pretty tight to the NSW coastline.

There’s no way you’ll see it up there though. Way too angular. Wait til the morning and let’s see what it looks like here

3-40knots SSE at Cape Byron, howling outside.

if that wind doesn't moderate or swing SW by midnight tomorrow might be a no surf day.

I'm so glad I backed my instincts and put the bird in the hand when it was there rather than waiting for the peak of the swell.

Figured out from bitter experience these windy S swells can be a massive hoax.

i went south from me and got some fun waves. maybe 3ft sets ...

the big pay off were all the nude chicks sunbaking along the stretch i was at. i walked about km going past identical bank situations just for the scenery.
I was in the dunes.

Well, Sydney is a blown out mess. Maybe there will be waves in the harbour. I just hope we get some new banks.
