Super fun with pulses of 3-4' swell from the east and a bunch of little ones in between, I have a feeling the next two days are gonna be Splendid.
It's certainly not getting down the coast. Barely 2ft around here.

Afternoon bash was slightly better fun. Less crowded. Not the right direction for the quite pleasant bank however.

Had another chop this arvo. Had some fun till the tide changed and it went downhill fast.

Day 4. Jumped n at Maccas. Plenty of water moving around. Ended up out the back at Tama. Nailed a set wave that took me to shore. Stoked. Loving my old fish at the moment.

I checked ulus at dawn, head high sets, glassy and perfect. Went back got my board, down the steps, through the cave..... shit, the wind was on it. Back up the steps.

Later, elsewhere, regular waist to head high sets, almost glassy, no-one else out, sunshine and blue water. After 15 weeks of not surfing I was quite happy that no-one else was there to witness all the stupid things I did.

I dropped my damaged boards off to be repaired - $20 each, ready tomorrow at 2pm

Back beaches around Crescent. Waist to chest high peelers, crystal clear water.

Did surf the point on a mal yesterday, a bit of fun.

Water is rarely crystal clear off the point. A lot of Ti Tree tanin and quite weedy sometimes. Drinking water is also very salty. I'd advise avoiding the place altogether. Hatch has the goods on it.

Went for a bash at Bronte. Fair to marginal but still a bit of fun. Avoided major wardrobe malfunction when I realised my second pair of glued seam boardies had split right up the arse when I got out of the car. Last pair I only noticed after having a crowded two hour surf at Crescent and walking home through the village.

When I went to check the surf this morning
there was a spectacular sunrise. There was a lot of a high striated cloud all luminous red and pink in the east, and north of that all the huge volcanoes were really clear from Agung right along Bali and into Java. There's about five of them all around 3000m. They seemed to loom straight over Kuta and Legian.

About 2' of choppy swell, it's a big tide (8.5') though so the middle of the flood should kick it up by 2-3' for an hour or so

Nice conditions. Got a park on the second drive through. :-)( Nice waves when one came through but a complete shit fight. It was hard to look at the surf without seeing a couple of learners running into each other somewhere. Got one good set wave at the start. The drop in pulled off halfway through so that was good. Went for another one and as I began to turn into it I realised two learners on softies were taking off too and heading straight for shore. I had to straighten out and basically freefall to not run into them. Dudded a couple of others then snared another decent peak. Nice face but someone snaked the inside as it backed off a bit closer to shore and began getting possessive. Cruised to shore on that one.

I spent the last week at Noosa.
Now THAT'S a shit fight. Surfed variously from the Pot trough Gum Trees, outer and Inner Johnsons to Little Cove. Even at first light I was paddling out with a half dozen others. Plenty without leggies. At one stage I found my self in the middle of a group of about 20, crunched into an area not much bigger than the average lounge room in the middle of a set.
I surfed Friday through to Thursday. If I never surf there again it'll be too soon. Went completely flat after Thursday although there were smallish/ overcrowded waves in the next two bays.
Plenty of "scenery" though.

I use the word "scenery" to try to avoid Nick's wrath.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Just a bit of exercise really. I basically knew what I was letting myself in for. Still a couple of decent waves is better than no waves at all.
