Can’t believe that none of the baby-boomer longboarders have got the location figured out. I thought you all pride yourselve’s on being the “old guard” of those fkn dribbly north coast points.

This is tedious.

Is this where Iggs says he's trolling?

On that super low tide this arvo, the right hander behind the pool at South Curly turned on and was actually really good. Waist to chest high, long rights for 4 or 5 turns and crowd was bugger all.

Curly actually more than ok for once.
An ollllld curly local I know rekons it was s premiere location before the Jones family illegally raped the sand dunes back to Harbord Rd

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Sure. Taken from a different angle and perspective that could’ve been a few different places. Like how are you gonna know if you’re only there once a year.

Well Ive got about twelve shots from about the same spot. Very true about not know places if you only go there once a year. I mean look at all the people who go to Indo once a year for example.
Of course there is a difference between going somewhere once a year and going somewhere once.

Anyway getting back to the road tarring out to Plumer. If anyone's seen the new caravan park at Seal Rocks you can imagine what the future might look like.

Word is a “mate” wants to do a housing development and needs better access.

100%. There's a lot of land out there. Might look like The Farm in a few years.

I drove the Point Plomer Rd between xmas and new year. Sure, it'll be a whole lot different if they seal it, but really it's a matter of when, not if

Forget about NC's clickbait for a minute and focus on Plomer Rd. The motion that was passed by council was to seal the road up to Big Hill, as thats where the national park begins. So firstly, its not getting sealed all the way to Point Plomer. Almost half the road (5.6km) from Crescent to Big Hill is already sealed, with two sections of 4km and 2.2km remaining. There was a protest about 2 weeks back, which apparently attracted around 400 people who don't want it sealed. And yes there are rumours of a development along the road which isn't housing estate, but a conference centre of sorts.

The road from Big Hill to Point Plomer is around 5km, I'm guessing ... so thats about one third of the journey from the Creasent Head turnoff.

Kempsey Council reckons it costs them around $170,000 per annum to maintain that section of road ... and they do a shit job too.

It kind of makes sense to seal the last two sections, but the natives are far from happy.

It's always been an anomaly that there was a section sealed halfway along. I must say the road to Hat Head being sealed hasn't made it much more crowded.
It's like Pitt St going out to Plomer at Easter or Xmas. Used to be able to drive through from Port without much trouble in the old days. The thing is it...plus around Seal Rocks is some of the last easily accessible coast in a fairly natural state. Seal Rocks is now Millionaires Row which at least tends to bring more thoughtful architecture than a housing development does. It sucks though considering there's vast stretches of beach that have been sand mined and lost most of their character. If they want to stick a housing estate somewhere then that's the spot.
