Nothing happened here today.

started with small remnants of NE windswell, checked Tallows a hundred times-been surfing Tallows a lot lately on this little epoxy CI swallow-tail.

It was shit. Every 20 minutes there'd be a long line from the SSE/SE (the south island swell). That would close out the beach.

Checked again early/mid arvo on the incoming push and that SE swell just died out.
Went fishing at an exposed ledge instead.

The day ended with what we started with : weak little NE windswell remnants.

Wind finally went offshore here around 5-5.30, Steve.

Fun but small.

Seemed as soon as it cleaned up, that SE energy that was around all day disappeared.

South east facing beach in Wollongong region had plenty of overhead sets. In the 3 foot plus range. The outer reef was bigger again. Needed a bit more east in the swell but still some good peaks amongst it. Just had to wait to for the right ones to come through. Offshore wind was pretty strong.

It was potentially pumping all day if I paddled across the river, but I couldn't be bothered.
Still had a fun morning and evening surf.

Just to go back to the great Forecasting Debate Magic Seaweed is giving Lennox Head 5 stars for Sunday and calling it 8.5ft.

Surf forecast (god help me please, it was just a quick squizz) is right on board with a mighty 2733 Kj call.
Just in case anyone's still playing along at home, they aren't

Haha. Not if he’s having breakfast at 2pm he’s not. Queue “pleasant swim” or “couldn’t get a park”

My point is that even when you’re not working you don’t leave the eastern suburbs. So using the “some of us have to work” excuse is retarded.

Forgot about that. It’s sorta like eating Macca’s every day and dining out once a year at Sizzler and really living it up.

Let's see....this year I've surfed in Santa Cruz, scored some of the best waves I've ever surfed at Crescent...I know it's so boring....surfed Golf Course Reef and Bendalong....actually had great sessions at Bondi in the start of winter with some of the best banks in years...now long gone..plus Bronte and Tama had some decent banks for a while. Now the banks are crap and works cranked up for the end of year. Xmas holidays coming up.

Last year I surfed Cloudbreak....so yeah...I need to get out more.

Mate, I'm 62. You go and surf some grinding reefs for me will you, Jimmy. Get back to me when you're my age. Lucky to still be surfing considering the number of old mates dropping off the perch this year.
