You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Rare swell coming for Sydney and points south and a bit north
Long range SE groundswell from a fetch edging around the base of the south island of NZ. A lot of the time these fetches are stuck on the other side of NZ but this one is bending around and blowing up halfway into the southern Tasman. It's a banger. First signs prob Weds through the arvo, it'll hang around for days and get mixed up with other swells. Nothing huge but considerable power.

Then! Then a real beast. Intense low moving off Bass Strait on Friday night, forecast to explode into a massive Tasman-wide thing by Sunday, with a big s-se fetch affecting the whole south-eastern coast. Very winter-style swell with potential to go a long way. It might be one of those rare big SE Aust swells when you don't have to wear a 3/2 full suit.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Nah, I disagree.
First fetch is severely attenuated by being in the shadow of the South Island.
There's something but the strongest winds by far are on the wrong side of the south Island.
Second fetch mentioned is even worse. It's a weird, very weird pattern. A ginormous slow moving low pressure gyre that rips the guts out of the sub-tropical ridge. Problem is, it mostly sits and sulks right in the shadow of the southern NSW coastline, too close to the coast to develop any real decent swell other than some super localised storm surf.
The strongest fetch is also the westerlies off the top of the low.
When the monstrous low finally does get around to moving into proper position in the Tasman it fizzes out like a teenager skulling passion pop.
Another super weird cut-off low then follows close behind bringing more intense westerlies.
The broad scale pattern is exciting at a glance but the way it plays out looks like a giant hoax to me.
Would love to be proved wrong.
