Yesterday, quintessential Mid-North Coast point break. Waist to chest high, clean and peeling forever. Crystal clear warm water.

Today, quintessential Mid-North Coast beachie. Waist high peaks with the odd bigger one. Super clean. Warm water.

I could happily live up here.

Wait til it's onshore and no swell for a week. Go out your mind with boredom.

Nice one BA!! When it's good up there, it's really good. I've been up there visiting friends about 8 times in the last couple of years. Always, always rubbish.

The Mid North Hoax I call it.

At least when I'm there. I am the Saltman of the MNC.

As far as living there? Hopefully, when I'm older and the cold down here is too much. Pretty special part of the world.

Definitely. I hear the fishing’s pretty good. Heaps of National Parks. Plenty of wildlife. Stacks to do.

Yeah we’ve had the same on other trips. Just seemed to come together this time. New swell expected tomorrow as well.

Because you are surrounded by regional dead shits and fccck all else to do. Just dumb fccckn surfies and the local bowlo club for fun.

Just had an Eastern Osprey cruise around for a while really close to our balcony. Saw a Brahimy Kite on the beach this morning, and have had Green Catbirds (which I’d never heard off) in the trees near our balcony. Add birdwatching to that list.

Port Macquarie would be throughly depressing. Lighthouse and town beach can get some pretty decent surf. But you certainly wouldn’t want to live there. The whole place has the vibe of an open air RSL.

That's the problem with so much of the coast between Batemans Bay and Byron.
