Re: Where did you surf today ?
Well, as I concluded after my hard hitting investigative journalism in the wave models thread (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=34569&start=18), it's not 100% accurate but it's good enough

did you just link to another thread on Realsurf in your own real surf post?
to back up your own point?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Indeed. As it's Realsurf's only dispassionate non-hysterical evidence-based evaluation of the effectiveness of magicseaweed's forecasting, there's a pretty strong argument to linking to it on a weekly basis. I might even include it in my signaturesteve shearer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:45 pmdid you just link to another thread on Realsurf in your own real surf post?

I never click links so it might as well be Beanpole talking about what he had for dinner tonight.

Oh well, never mind. It's in the 'wave models' thread, seven below this one. It's only a two-pager and nobody mentions dinner

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Wollongong region.
First session was a thumpy chest to head high. Some good peaky ones amongst it, but also lots of washy shutdowns. Best show was put on by an older cronulla surfer, the shaper of carverley surfboards. His board was a wide point forward midlength with a pulled in pintail and twin fins set well forward. He was forehand on the lefts, getting in as early and deep as possible and making a climb-drop speed run to the shouder then banking off into these beautiful wrapping cutbacks.
Second session was a bit further south, waist to chest high and much better shape, peeling off all the way through with a fairly dredgy inside bowl section. Some young fella was out there sprinting down the line then launching these 360 forward rotation aerials. No idea what they’re called but he pulled off at least half of them.

Lumpy, rippy, wind blown Manly. Lots of duck diving, although head high and at least a bit of push.

Miraculously got a park at Tama. Breaking way out. Super easy paddle out from McKenzies. Too crowded and blew the only really good big one I got. Lots of waiting between sets.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Mid-north end Maroubra. Chest to head high. Fairly lumpy and sluggish but plenty waves coming through and some turns to be had.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Long Reef yesterday (smaller)and Wednesday (head highish).
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Average but fun chest to head beachies. After 3 days of wake skating the 7' single felt a little strange.
