Crowds are way down for splenda compared to last 2 weeks.

Fri/sat/sun this weekend been uncrowded but.

Plenty of local 18-20 something surfers seem to have gone to it.

Splenda had nothing on Bondi today. (as far as social/cultural/physical engagement goes)
Bruegel would have been in his element.
Ice skating, ferris wheels, junk foods, health foods, dogs, birds, buskers, skaters, whale watchers, joggers, gym bro' ponces, sikh families, Korean accountants, veiled westie wimmin, lip enhanced bondi bitches ... all lolled about or sauntered freely.



waves weren't too bad. about Shetland pony to Phar Lap size.

Managed a toob on an inside reform bank and figured that was as good as it gets here for me.

i did a bit of lolling about and free sauntering at the island today. More lolling than sauntering though.

Went for a paddle. As Skip described. Fairly frustrating with the crowd factor. I have a bit of a thing about not surfing on Sunday. Tried sitting wide and waiting for a big one. Gave up on that after half an hour and paddled up to the other side. Semi close out to go in on. Some guy still trying to tack across in the whitewater. I told him to piss off. I was catching this baby to the beach and getting out. Still some good sections on the inside.

The swell is slowly building, double to maybe triple on the sets. Four out at the bommie, two at outside corner. Hardly anyone around.

I surfed elsewhere earlier, when it was smaller and bumpier. Didn't stay out long, I was too nervously looking out to sea and the waves weren't very makeable

Better swell than the last one. If it gets to half of what's predicted the afternoon should be good

It's a better swell direction than the last swell but needs a lower tide I think.
