It's only a foot step or two away. Getting back is the hard bit.
Ain't it the truth. So many hypsters can't get that bit right at all.
Tail lifts great for catching waves as well as turning.

wow Leeg's home town is kinda pumping today!

If those reefs were submerged and closer in, Scarborough to Trigg would be like a French beachie.

There are a few spots where you can actually surf out there on those reefs, you need a tinny or something to get you out there.
Wouldn't recommend doing it at any size though.

I used to windsurf (wave boards) off that little island about a k out from Hillarys. It was sort of OK, plus a few other little breaks.

I was there by myself late one afternoon when the wind dropped like someone switched it off. Had to swim my rig in, didn't get to shore until 8:30pm. Spooky in the water, but it was in that halcyon time before sharks started attacking people.

Oh I know.

I drove around today up and down, counted about 100 surfers in the whole area, it's a Sunday! what's up with that?

Waikiki :-D-: hired a waterlogged 10 footer and joined the throng for a couple of hrs. Took a while to get a wave. I was too respectful and careful not to drop in. I soon realized dropping in is almost compulsory

Haven't been enjoying the bank as much the last few days. Not sure if it's swell direction or change of bank...maybe tide. It's still there but it doesn't connect as well as it was. See what happens with more east in it.

The low-tide, south swell combo in the morning is not doing the Northern Beaches any favours.

Jae Haydon drowns in surfing accident at Bali’s famous Padang Padang?

No, I don't leave until Monday.

This report is strange:
Jae Haydon, 34, from Woonona near Wollongong, was surfing at Padang Padang Beach, one of Bali’s most famous surf spots, on Monday morning (Indonesian time) when he was reportedly knocked off his board by a wave.

Friends became increasingly alarmed after a broken surfboard identical to Mr Haydon’s, later washed up at the nearby Uluwatu beach.
Huh? It seems a bit weird that no-one got involved at the time. There's always surfers in the water who pay attention and people on the cliffs watching.

From what I read it was ulu and 2 guys took his leash off and tried to get him in on their boards but got hammered and lost him?

They were saying Ulus on the news but that doesn't mean that much. I wouldn't have thought the board would have washed up at Ulus if he was surfing Padang though.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
