There's two at amity at the moment . $290 pwk and $300 pwk
http://www.straddiesalesrentals.com.au/rent
That's only a short drive to point lookout.
Or there's the myora caravan park at Dunwich.

Not sure how much swell there was on the goldy yesterday but the outer banks of main beach about a klm down the beach and beyond had at least four foot of constant swell. The amount of times we used to go over there and score overhead waves while the Gold Coast was knee high.

I guess now that Ballina is GHQ for sharks the shark problem over there isn't as pronounced.

No, he was right.
Interesting.
Fong always said he was on Moreton.
But Russell makes more sense when you think about it.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

north straddie is a bigger magnet than ballina and illuka.

GC was a weak, dribbly and inco 2ft.

Fun in the sun with offshore winds and lots of waves at a popular Eastern Suburbs Secret Spot today. Felt really off kilter since I hadn't surfed for a week or more. Once I actually caught a few though it was all good.

Waist high mush at cabarita. Some semi ok walls on the inside bowl. Longboard comp on there. Mostly pie vans struggling to get to their feet. A couple of them went alright

One thing I certainly don't miss about surfing up here (tweed thru SEQ) is much of the beachbreaks don't make efficient use of swell. All too often the set up consists of a shifting outer bank that is mostly a take off then immediately dies out into a deep gutter, only to reform at half the size on the shore break.

You could say that about the entire east coast, most of the time.

Bondi actually often reminds me of South Kingy without the reef. Actually way more consistent.
We used to call Caba Bogarail...rather than Bogangar. Refracting peak mid way across can produce a fun ride if it keeps going. Can occasionally handle a little bit of size from the south. Mid way across in front of the rocks can get an okay section on a good day. If youre prepared to take off right in front of the headland itself you can get a solid wave.

The back beach of cabarita is pretty crap. Have checked it plenty of times over the years and never seen it do anything other than either mush out, or only offer up really ordinary left in the corner. Pretty shithouse waste of a back beach.

Yep, South Caba I can probably remember one or two okay surfs there ever. Hastings is better of course...but everyone knows that....and a bit further along it gets more...........suitable for fishing. Definitely nothing to surf between Hastings and The Pass. :-o

You feel pretty vulnerable when you find a good outer bank to surf by yourself around there. For some reason it feels sharkier when I'm out there than around ballina.
