I saw a guy drive into over someone's board at Manly, he just shrugged and said "sorry"

Lot of steamers being worn already, even in the middle of the day. Waters still pretty warm and the air temperature is around 24/25. Don't quite get it. I was more than comfortable in boardies and l/s vest.

Super freak boardies, retro sleeveless vest, open of course. Bit warm so finished with checkered short sleeve shirt with press button studs, open of course, no pants on.

Springy for me. Could have gone out in a 1mm top and boardies. Some guys were just going out in boardies.

Surf maroubra today petulance ? That 3 foot east swell was punching above it's weight. The mid-south end had a dredgy left ripbowl that was breaking like a reef. Lots of current, and running a bit too quick across the bank, essentially a teaser shutdown wave but had lots of grunt.

Nope. Was down south of the Gong. Wasn't sitting deep enough most of the time so I missed out on quite a few waves but all good experience for the next time. The swell was the biggest on Friday and has dropped considerably since then. Just got back. I paddled out at Sharky at Coledale on the way back in the arvo but it was closeout city.

Somewhere often maligned in the Eastern Suburbs has been pumping the last few days. Very nice banks. Killer rip.

DY has a killer rip as well at the moment. Been there the last few days. Paddle out south of the pole, end up in front of the lugga after one right.

Point grinders. It was loving that long range long period E swell.

3-4 foot late arvo session north end maroubra. At first the long period was overpowering the bank. Then as soon as the tide dropped out the left ripbowl started running like a pointbreak, linking all the way through to the beach. Got some screamers.

Werri Point was the go on Friday. Much smaller than South Werri which didn't have too many takers. Even then the point required a lot of cutbacks to avoid other people and to stay on the wave. I was all over the place there except I didn't sit right out the back where the takeoff was next to the rock face. My position was usually too wide or not close enough to the shore.
