Hah. I saw the same thing earlier in the morning. One of the boats got caught inside and nearly ended up on the sand.

The late was more fun than the dawnie until the southerly hit. My most enjoyable session all year. Water was refreshing. It was a good decision to ditch the 1mm top for a t-shirt.

The kookery is ooc on the weekend. Some clown who shouldnt have been out there on Fri morning kept paddling in front of me on about 3 waves, I pulled his leash to stop him dropping in on someone at one point. Saved him from a very unpleasant situation.

North end? I looked at the crowd and conditions and decided that the front the the pavilion would be a better choice.

Not. Classic dive into shallow water. Luckily he's in a neck brace and not a wheelchair.

South end. Bigger, more wind affected, but still some head high sets and fun down the line walls.

No stitches, just glue ?! and I'll be back in the water Tuesday. Toddled down to Kingsford and bought myself a chicken and egg noddle soup and durian ice dessert from shalom.

The south end is a circus full of all sorts of numpties. Not sure who the culprit was so I missed the opportunity for a pleasant conversation.

Had a pleasant (did you see what I did there? ), surf at the "secret" spt up here which works in a northerly.
Actually it was probably the most enjoyable session I've had there in 10 years.
First out, only got crowded towards the end.
Getting out of the car park was the hardest it.
Why the fcuk do you turn down a steep gradient when you can see there are at least 3 vehicles in front of you, all stopped?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

There were better places further up the beach for non duck divers based on the size and cleanliness of the south end yesterday
And a durian dessert is always good.

FFS, will you guys show a bit of consideration and stop talking about actual ridable waves while I'm marooned here in land locked Chiang Mai. I was much happier when the standard east coast summer report was that the whole Pacific ocean was a placid lake

Don't worry, amigo....Id never ditch in front of you.
That's why I bailed yesterday after a quick six waves....it looked like an accident waiting to happen out there.
...and don't worry Cranky.....it's crap in Sudney today....and you are probably cooler in Chang Mai.

Hot and sweaty last night. Went for a grovel to cool off. Choppy light SE breeze was welcomed.

What happens is when they graduate from down the south end as "board chuckers" is they buy either a hypto krypto or JS and end up at the north end as "duckdive avoiders" paddling back out wide, avoiding the whitewash at all costs, and getting in your fûcking way. To be fair I'd rather see them remain at the south end, falling victim to an unsuspecting north east groundswell.

Helped if you had a clubbie cap on and were in a surfboat.
