Where did you surf today ?

Back again. Offshore...a bit bigger...not that the big ones were rideable. Crowded. Flunked a couple then got an okay hollowish one. Was going to call it a day but paddled back out and got the wave to make the whole session worthwhile.....relatively speaking.

Interestingly the guys who have apparently had the best waves on here are the most grumpy at the moment. You would think it would be the exact opposite.

It was crowded but pretty mellow considering. If you wanted a dig you got some. A few pros amongst it. Most guys were undergunned or just out on the shoulder having a look see.

Nothing like the mayhem of Nationals.

Reef/sand lefthand point just south of Sydney. Shoulder high and running for about fifty metres. Nothing epic, but fun on the mini mal.

Had the relatively early Saturday surf. Fun and not too crowded.

Maroubra unfortunately. Hate surfing it on the weekends. Fun consistent shapely two foot swell with a nice bowly bank, nice wall, but packed to fück. Surfed the little 6'0 Single fin egg. Was fun and fitting for the conditions.

There was some mid fifties goose out there running a wafer thin hi performance shorty. Bogging, jagged, stiff and floundering, trying his level best to still surf like he was in his early twenties boardrider days. God it looked ugly. He was getting heaps of waves, but had priority on precisely none of them. Every single wave he was on was a drop in. What a fkn kook.

Rode the little 5'6" alien board and had a blast until the wind got up.

Took the kids for a surf, I was matting. Amongst the two footers were some very infrequent, but surprisingly punchy long period lurkers in the mix.
