You need to be specific with an ocean dwelling death cult.

Yeah weird, but that was the official report. I guess it might just mean over 3m. And offy (I think it was offy) has already called me out on the shark I fell on, it did happen tho'... pretty funny, but not just as I fell face first onto it, we didn't actually touch, fcuked if I know how we didn't.

I think it was actually 3.048m, rounded up for emphasis.

In Cranked's defence, 3.1 metres = 10 foot, a nice round figure for estimating shark sizes. Mystery solved

Yes ctd I read your posts, but you failed to perform a metric to imperial conversion thus rendering your objection tardy, and explaining what the "t" in your user name stands for.

Yes Cranked, there's been waves, yes indeedy.

south east facing beachy on the mid north coast...doing its best porto escondido impression (probably)...not so much the size (3-5ft) but the heft of the waves were impressive...being dead low they just unloaded into shallow water...plenty of crew, not that many takers...lots of closeouts but the odd gem amongst them...got my best wave of the year on the last day of the year and to be sure i have scored in 2015 - happy new years!!! :-)(

Couple of surfs at DY this week. Busy but fun 2-4 powder puff waves. Next week up the mid north coast and there looks like a jump in size.

DY. Beachy closing out. Point was crowded as with the clubbies joining the mayhem but the waves were OK if you were very lucky enough to catch the right one and by yourself.

Its been total mayhem. Surfed 1st walkway a couple of days ago with that decent left bank that had a nice pitch in the lip halfway along the bank allowing for a decent turn. Up to poles now. But its off the scale crowd wise and kook wise as well don't you think Chrisb.? The worst its been for years.

I'm seeing a jump in guys around 18-30 YO on boards that are a) way to good or small for them b) way to good and small for the weak conditions. Maybe its just summer.

Surfed DY yesterday morning for the early. Tide far too low and basically a closeout up to well past Poles.

Same problem this morning. Oil slick smooth but tide was around 0.4m so pretty shitty.

I think DY will be crowded all day (I went elsewhere today). Yesterday the DY carpark was full by 9.30am when I was leaving and today will be worse.

You're right about the crowds Davros. I remember about 10 years ago on a mid-winter Sunday at The Poles, perfect small peelers and only about 6 out. Seems that everybody is onto The Poles now, and onto the rest of the beach, so that even the bleakest mid-week day gets crowds. Even in winter the crowds are still there. Sometimes you can get uncrowded, but you need to be lucky.
