Great story Boo ... nice and honest too ... loves ya woik.
The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

Steve the bloke from the QS was Bottle.
Best on mid-high

Iggs that isn't the board I'd normally use for 6ft points but I'm glad I did, it was bowly as shit
Got a 2+1 that is 6'4 and covers ground a bit faster

In any case, it still looks like a hot board. For six foot points up there, u have a lot of options for whatever board. Those waves are that perfect that it more just comes down to how u wanna surf and less about "will the board handle it". But the meat on that thing looks ideal for the paddle-fest. Love the clean uncomplicated look of Hueys shapes.

Great story 'boo. The kind that make me want to get out there. Pretty rare these days since I've all but lost my surfing Mojo for various reasons. Anyways, Sunday AM looks the goods here and I'll give it a good shake 8)

I took my eldest son for a surf today. Half foot peelers at Noosa, had him kneeling on the front of a McTavish carver and had him laughing and cackling ever time we took a foam ride to shore. The wife said she hadn't seen me smile like that for years.

It's awesome sharing the stoke with your kids isn't it. When my daughter was about 10/11 I used to take her out at Currumbin Alley on the front of my mal. She loved it.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

He's 4, had to wait for the right day. Sunny, clear water, tiny waves. Wanted to make sure he wasn't scared for his first time.

Today I walked out T-Tree in the darkness, only 3 guys out when I jumped off. Got a few head high long long waves, nearly to the beach before the hordes descended. Probably my best waves in a couple of years.

finally some big clean heavy beachies as the tide rose on a solid 6-8' swell mix this morning.

a lot like those big washy French/Portugal beach breaks, with rips erupting and waves swinging at unpredictable but cool angles. Nobody surfing.

swell is dropping now but I'm sure will hang in for the next 24hrs

First ever crack at Deadmans this morning. Super thick 6ft plus. Not quite big enough to link thru the inside step section, which look horrendous as you'd kick off just before it. Crew of a half dozen young chargers and couple of boogs.

Some cracking waves had by all and some punishment being dealt to all. One young kid got an absolute hiding and pushed in near the rocks. Overall I was a little more precarious than the young nutters and managed to escape with just one smack down where I got caught out in the trough.

Great surf overall, and happy I had a stab at it.

Don't get me wrong. It was daunting, but a rush and within my abilities. But that inside step section. Man o man. I imagine at 8ft plus it'd be game on thru there. That'd be the real test. As gnarly as this morning was, I'm pretty I got off lightly in comparison.

It was easier on the lower tide. Breaking better, draining more. But high tide kinda snuffed it out, only the sets would break. Even then, it got kinda wonky and backwashy, sketchier, giving you a very small take off zone, making it even more critical and later to scratch into. There was some young charger out there from the ESBs attacking it backhand. It was also his first time surfing it. He was comparing it to "the Southy" at coogee. ?
