I'm only referring to the one place, the wedge.
dunno but last few times I've checked the kingy backbeach it's been a heavy straight shoredump, especially on a south swell. good place to snap a few boards.

Yeah it's a great place under 2-3 foot, over that she just straighthands into the shallow storm bar.

I've only surfed it small, ie flat everywhere else. When it's got peaks, it's really fun.

Must say the Tweed coast is not backbeach heaven.
Maybe in a big northerly or even easterly swell.
Of course if you don't mind a rock bottom you have much better options :)

I can think of many places other than there that produce the goods far better.

Gold Coast, around 2m waves yesterday and 1.5m waves today, when the report and forecast said "1ft gutless, take the biggest board you have if you are desperate..." :D

Yesterday was the best surf I've had in quite a while, so much better than watching pipeline.

Even got the best peak to myself for 30min before Fanning won the title and the rest of the crew managed to get away from the screen. :D: :-D-: :-D-: :-D-:

Got up for the early the next day and it was gone gone gone!. Think I did something to my knee as well. These times are when my new JD will restore some kind of sanity. How's your newy??

Good waves on Monday and Tuesday but crappy on Wednesday and not there today. Good, my shoulder is pretty sore from paddling and needs a rest.

Had a bash at Currumbin this morning. Wasn't bad considering all the open beaches were wind blown junk.
It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again

Well yesterday I managed to get slam dunked on what I thought to be a rogue wave only to then get pinned to the sand bank by the next 5 waves in the set. Good drop on the first one fowever.

Havent had that much sandy water for fed into ever orifice for quite some time.

1 and 2 wave "sessions" do not count. Thats a swim.

I think it was MP who stated that unless you catch at least 3 waves its not classified as a SURF.

Remember this rule ... its important. Don't ask why ... it just is ... OK.

And no you can't count that little whitewash you caught to the beach in utter frustration.

Have to agree Womble.
Although I would exclude:
1. Really big days.
2. Really long waves.
3. Really big, really long, really hollow, really crowded days.

Would you include going out on a solid day at an outside reef and getting dragged across the reef but not catching any waves as a "surf"?

Yeah ok then Womble. I had a few paddling practice sessions recently. Happy?
