New (to me) Outback goes great, I look forward to taking it to the same spot.Braithy wrote:How'd the new Outback travel?

That's a 6yr old Forester in the pic, and not mine..
Clearance was a bit of an issue on the way back, after the bogans doing fishtails in their real 4wds had cut the crap out of the access point, but low tyre pressure and sensible driving does wonders.

Can't be certain Groots, most likely a make up job. Good likeness.

Santa's coming to SE QLD. Lock and load everybody!
Everyone has to pay their reef taxes!
Re: Where did you surf today ?
GC pointbreak, but not that one.
Was teaching a 13 yr old to surf for the first hour, had him getting 5sec rides consistently within 30 mins so that was great to see the stoke.
Got some decent ones. Was already overhead and maybe a touch more by mid-morning. Bit of morning sickness, but the building energy was palpable. Like watching a lioness in the grass just before it takes off after a wildebeast.
Gonna be a stampede in the next few days...'bout to get fairly interesting.

probly mayhem on the north coast and goldy over the next few days, and some;
At least everywhere will have swell - winds will focus the crowd somewhat though.
Kind of glad i'm heading in the opposite direction. South coast won;t get the brunt but should still be a few if the wind don't get funky, Radial spread. then more direct next week....yewwww and all that
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Took a gamble, saved my money and didn't hit the surf today. I think it paid off, from all reports, nothing spectacular today apart from the monolithic crowds that seem to have swallowed every break known to man over the festive period.
What was T-Tree like today? I'm sure one of you boys scored... Fong I'm looking in your direction.

Braithy - I can look at a guy like Sonny Bill Williams, his physique and face, and appreciate, he's a good looking guy
Re: Where did you surf today ?
^^^ I saw my end of the Coast about 10am and it was surprisingly smooth so I agree the Noosa end would have been the goods - for about 3,000 close friends.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

First offshore day in I don't know how long. Last offshore day for another two weeks by the looks. Waits was small, but fun and VERY quiet today.
