Re: Where did you surf today ?
It has and it hasn't, very dependent on the angle and period, I've found recently.
And the sweep
Makes decent size Kirra look like a millpond.
Bit down the way it was nearly twice as big, but I was woefully undergunned for that, and couldn't conceive of how you'd actually get out the back.
There won't be any pics from the crew that were on it. Only one of them seemed to have an intact board.
It was showing on some of the indicators that I haven't seen cap for a looong time.

Yea Don and the Sunny Coast is the worst of all as we just sit on the beach and watch them march straight on by! Like a game of Monopoly, "Do not pass go, do not collect $200.00", it shits me!Donweather wrote:Feck I hate S'ly swells!!! Sweep was out of control this morning....fecking ridiculous!!! Oh well, maybe it will swing a little more Easterly for my return on Tuesday!

Shouldn't be posting in the "where did you surf today"? thread as I just went for a paddle.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Boys, I've been reading Marks reports everyday, I'm sure it can't get much smaller than what it's been for the last month!diggerdickson wrote:TrevG wrote:Already happening mate. Re: Where did you surf today ?
Gunnamatta for the early. Only a 1 - 1.5 metre swell so not big but at mid-tide one of the banks was working okay.
But it was the only one so it was shared amongst 15 of us. Still pretty good though
But farken cold though! I reckon my nuts are still hiding somewhere up amongst my lower intestine at the moment!

had boardriders and I farkin hated it, total closeouts and made me realise why I surf...and its definitely not to force myself to surf closeouts and be judged for it...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
aside from the expectation of extremely mediochre results, that's exactly why I have never felt even remotely tempted to get involved in competition / club surfing. On two wheels... that's another matter.pridmore wrote:had boardriders and I farkin hated it, total closeouts and made me realise why I surf...and its definitely not to force myself to surf closeouts and be judged for it...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
orinally signed up for 2 reasons, 1 for my son to get into surfing more and to socialise with other groms when we first moved back here and 2, coz my Father was a founding member and thought it would be good to have 3 generations as memebers in the club...
I actually can enjoy competing when the waves are at least average or better and there's plenty of opportunities for each surfer to get waves and show what they can do...but those times are pretty rare and the shi.tty times of crap waves, bad judging and frustration happen way too often ....

surfed Bendalong in southern NSW 3 or 4 times about a week ago and gotta say what a nice little patch of sand that is. Only 2 - 3 foot but super clean and occasionally punchy with next to no crowd out there each time I surfed.
Anybody who wants to sledge me for 'naming' it here can SUCK MY C.O.C.K.........
Were you out there last sunday about 10.00am, south end?

5.45am till 9am.
Been using Fong's big yellow board. A sort of gun by Bruce McKearn.
Absolutely awesome fun. Carves some great lines. Accelerates like Atlantis. Turns on a dime.
I'm in love.
Surf meeds to have some power. It's had that the last three days. Today was the best. As usual, surprising amount getting around the north end of that bloody island and finding its way in to my local.
Be flat tomorrow though. Ledge is due home.
Well, we might get one more day.
