I had the day off to record some drums on a couple of songs for a mate. I was so sure I could get at least one surf in. I ended up doing so much running around for the missus that I didn’t even see the ocean. Haven’t finished yet, either. Feel sorry for me.

Some smoking waves around this morning. Water feels like it's definitely dropped a few degrees in the last couple of days.

Fun but a bit straight, still good though. Water feels like it has dropped a couple degrees because it has. It warmed up from that southerly last week and the northerlies since have cooled it down.

Fun, somewhat crowded and short period swell. Long rides, and a great way to finish a conference.

A bit more cross chopped and crowded. Still managed a few but it was hard work. Yep, waters cooler all right.

Yep, Ventura has got some classic set ups. Walden Factory is there and Patagonia started there as well.

Granted the water was not bath warm, but geez the cool off was very nice considering how hot it is.

My wife said water was freezing.

I found it nice and refreshing yesterday.

I’d be guessing around 20 by feel.

5 days straight now. Stiff and sore. Just had a go with the bollard on my back. Might try a few of MMs foundation moves again.

Headlands. 2-3 foot. Kinda jumbled swell but clean with some fun bowls coming thru. Surfed the 7’0 phil Myers six channel single fin.

Rinse repeat of yesterday but surfed in the midday sun.
Wore a hat.
All day offshore.

Day 6. A bit ruffled. Rip making hard work of a few little peaks but spreading the crowd out. Water had a lot of litter floating around after the rain.

Day 7. Pretty crap and my overextension muscle twitch in my side was making it very painful.
