Saw some cranking empty wide sets at impossibles if you could somehow get in the right position.
How long has there been a camera at impossibles?
Not sure.
Have to ask Carroll

strong offshore at a popular reef. clean waves, big rooster tails, about half a dozen out, spread all over the place. harder to get a good waves than it looked from the parking lot.

Travelled up the coast to see a mate. Berserk barrels from about 7.30am to 9.30sm then it dropped like the popularity of an Aboriginal Voice YES vote.

Bronte is absolutely pumping. Never seen the beach break right any better. Overhead barrels breaking right down the beach. Unfortunately 40 guys on the peak means this old codger won’t be going out. Swell has swung right around to the south.

An old mate of mine who is a real Bronte local said it hasn't broken like that in years- crazy lefts next to the headland, perfect barrels.

That was yesterday and I agree…..but today the right bank off the reef looked all time. It was absolutely shite yesterday. Swell did a huge swing overnight. Wasn’t even hitting the reef today. Just a big A frame right that kept opening up all down the beach.
Went down later and it was still big and okay but nothing like this morning. A lot of barrels missed by people not swinging in on the take off.
Crazy…two of the best days in years and breaking totally different.

Where can I watch these sets and procrastinate?

Got blown out to fuckin sea today. Such a shame, the swell was soooo good
Far out, you didn’t get any of these?
Would swear it was pipe apart from the wetsuits and lack of people on the beach.

I didn't surf there- I'm thinking that was just south of main beach - I was further north. I paddled out right when it just howled Westerly so I'm sure there were plenty of insane waves for everyone else. My timing couldn't have been worse!

Funny getting old. I watched the surf today and only had the tiniest compulsion to get out there. Not really realistic but I know years ago I would have been totally amped. Still reckon I could have pulled into a few sets better than half the crew out there but I know I’m kidding myself.

Sandon point. Washy but some overhead sets and my last wave ran all the way thru past the boat sheds so can’t complain

Had to go over to Coogee this morning so had a look at The Bra. South end looking like fun……except about 100 odd sods in the water. Plus more going out.

Sandon again. Late arvo session, kinda gurgling and shifting with the south-swell north-wind combo. Not ideal but not crowded either. Still a few ok ones

I was out at headies around lunchtime which was throwing up some pretty hectic drops! I hadn’t surfed it in a while, took me a while to get used to it again

Checked headies both days. There looked to be a couple but the swell looked too south. Yeah it’s an abrupt take off for sure, many of the waves simply bottom out.
