Classic spring conditions and buttonery little runners before the high tide ate them up.
Fixed

I was rehearsing up at Brookvale yesterday, so I headed down to north Curl Curl for a surf. Beautiful conditions, same old close out but it was nice to be back in the brine with my northern brothers and sisters.

Some good sized sets came through on a very shallow bank, caught two bombs and came in.

a great day!

The rules are very clear and simple, to be classified as a surf, one must catch a minimum of 3 waves ... so it is written and so it shall be.

That's true Yuke- my last wave was the heaviest, and I went down with the lip. Would have made it 3, but I was acutely aware that i was there for a different reason and injury would be a disaster.

As it was I got to rehearsal with my nose dripping and no shoes.

@beans- no mate, took the old yellow peril Deus Twin I bought off Hatchnam years ago!

To call it a surf, I need to stand up on 3 waves and do at least three turns for the sesh. Bottom turn, top turn and ride out to be classed as a turn.
A barrel can replace a turn.
A really good barrel can be called a surf on its own.

3 is a surf.

But I have had some one and done bangers at the Point.

8-10ft, 20 knots of S wind, 45-1hr paddle-out.

Bomb set from out the back to past the hut- done-ski.

Bondi. 2-3 foot, hectic park, 30 mins to get out the back via the southern rip.

Bomb set, all the way past the first 2 metres before it closed out.

In.

Imagine getting stuck behind Beanpole trying to find a park and being a passive-aggressive arsehole?

:-D-: Fun waves today. No dickheads trying to push their way through the car park when people are trying to park. Usually tell blow ins from Lennox or Avalon to go back to where they came from. Localism Rules Bitches.

Surf equals a wave and 2 turns.
