Perfect conditions ATM but no takers. I'd usually just go out but a few mates spotted a bronze whaler a few days ago, they got a good look as it went underneath them.

Pretty rare for a bronzie to cause any issues.

Have you had the new Emery sleds in the water yet Buddy?
So I surfed the 5’9 again today in much better shaped small waves.
Clean 2-3 foot.
Frothing on it now.
Sits in the pocket really well which is something I haven’t had in my quiver for a while but also holds well in rail turns.
Think it will be the daily driver up to 4ft and the 6’0 for when the waves are proper good 3-6ft.

I agree. I wasn't implying that the line-up was empty because of the sighting, I just thought it was not wise to surf by myself where it was sighted. Someone arrived soon after my post and we went out unperturbed.

Top 5 Dylan songs

-Don’t think twice it’s alright
-Girl from the North Country
-You ain’t goin nowhere (the version containing the lyric ‘Genghis Khan and his brother, Don’)
-The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll
-Chimes of freedom
Girl from North Country with Johnny Cash is great.

In fact Nashville Skyline is pretty great.
Haven’t listened to that for a while.
I was thinking of the freewheelin BD version
Get back to me on the duet. Doesn’t sound like it would work but, it does.

All great, but how good but how much faith do you have in the identification?

Bronze whalers have a large first dorsal fin that originates above the inner margin of the pectoral fin, no interdorsal ridge, a precaudal pit. The species also has large pectoral fins, and a large upper caudal-fin lobe.

I was surfing yesterday with the two guys who spotted it the day before and I know them well. It swam under them and they saw the fins and recognised it as a Bronze Whaler. They said it was not aggressive and it hung around for a while.

Bronze whaler sharks attacks are rare.

Whites are pretty obvious even if you don’t get a good look, pectoral fins like a jumbo jet.

Nice technique.

I feel "bad" about being such a pussy in the sub-tropics but I hate wet wetsuits.
You don’t have a shady tree that you can use? Eg

Not much around today. Found a little rip bowl to squeeze a few turns in.
Ran the board as a straight twinny and it did the job perfectly.
So don’t think I’ll ever run it as 2+1, just twinny or thruster.
