Northern Beaches is perfect for it.
Lots of lightly attended B grade surf being poorly surfed.

Very under-utilised wave resource.

Pretty much the opposite to here, which is fully utilised.

Out of interest, was it only the surf community who you asked in your petition? Of course, they have a say on how the ‘surf utility’ is exploited but only equal to the rest of the community, surely. I mean, I can’t help thinking that an AirBnB owner is probably gonna tick the ‘more tourists please’ box rather than the ‘local waves for local people’ one

The first 2 questions pretty much every surfer asks everytime
1) How were the waves?
2) How crowded was it?

The better the surf spot, the more likely question 2 becomes question 1
These are the core modern surfer questions
The question, was there any one famous out there, I’ve never heard that asked

Or some typically banal surf chat.

If it was a Real Surfer it would be

A) read any good Russian literature?
B) is that a McCoy?

“You get a few,”, is addressing the same question as “was it crowded”.
If there is not more people than waves, then it is a redundant question

Funnily enough, the last time someone offered me the info there was someone famous out there was at Currumbin on a wild and wooly day a couple of years ago. There was some towing going on. Fanno was out there, but he was not mentioned. He is part of the furniture on the Goldie. The comment was, Chris Hemsworth is out there.

Depending on where and when the question is asked it may just be an enquiry but more often than not it's because you did get a few and they saw it.

George Greenough was opposed. As was every shaper in Ballina . As was Don Munro and the surf reserve committee, a committee by the way that your and my pal Phil Myers does not serve on.

By all means try and discredit that community opposition if it suits you.

Carcass was not even a bit player.

fcuk mate I don't care. It's not my spot, I don't have a say in what goes on re a CT or whatever. Local surf communities should always be able to decide if one of those things happens or not.
