Get a Rip Curl wettie. You will never change brands again. I used to be a Billabong man, too. Then i got a short arm Stealth and a F-Bomb. The last long and are easily the warmest wetties ive ever used in my 17 years of wearing wetties.

Wow, I have never had anything BUT problems with Rippy. And my ebomb did rip too. and the stitching fell apart. and the repair service was shite. and it all happened with my two previous suits. (i am a slow learner). never again.

same as clif.

i've had 3 ebombs. the stitching came apart on all of them after less than 3 months.

the reason i've had 3 - they replaced them without question or cost.

if you don't get a dud they're great.

but i reckon i'll try something else next time.

Don't buy a Gold - I bought one, the velcro on the neck seal fcuked up after just a few months. The suit itself was OK to start but didn't last. Knee pad stitching ripped, plus lining in lower leg went after one season.

I'm up for a new steamer too this winter but there is no way I would go back to Billabong.

Got an E-bomb that is going back for repair as the inner seam weld has cracked in about a dozen places after about a year of wear.A friend had similar problems and they replaced it.

My 3/2 Rip Curl elastomax suit with the Bat Wing (one before the e-bomb) is now heading into it's third year.

Stitching is still all togther and I wear it all year round too. I combine it with the hood and booties in winter of course.

General consensus from most people I have met in the surf is that unless you're going to pay mega bucks for some high end suit Rip Curl still make the best ones. Seen no end of issues with Billabong ones, mate had one for only 6 months before it started coming apart
