Stop comparing us to the animal kingdom, because we are nothing like them!

We aren't?
There seems to be a lot of people on here who would disagree with you (check out the "God" threads).
If evolution is where we came from, we are EXACTLY like them.

Besides, I agree with toilet brand. They're delicious.

TrevG

Are we talking about biological features or similarities?

No, we are talking about what we choose to eat! We are not like animals because we do not eat to survive, we eat for taste! How many times do I need to bloody repeat myself!?

Don't let them drag you down to their level yomutha, some people just evolve faster than others, it's not their fault.

Give em a few years and hopefully they will get it. Would be embarrassing to be one of the last to see the light. They are like the people who were clinging onto the idea of slavery being a good thing.

Firstly - maybe the line should read "directly related to excessive eating of meat"
Secondly, I'll just pick one I know a bit about. Anemia - relates to a lack of iron - red meat, great source of iron.

Yomutha, you make some big calls back up the page. Suggest you quote your sources or detail your qualifications. At the moment you're just coming across like a fanatic.

ps. Just had dinner. Some chicken and ham on the plate but I did have a problem with the potatoes. Their little eyes kept looking beseechingly at me.

The following facts are from the Vegetarian Society of the UK's web site:

It has been estimated that a lifelong vegetarian prevents the suffering and slaughter of over 900 animals and over half a tonne of fish.

Studies have shown that mortality from heart disease is an amazing 30 per cent less among vegetarians. Vegetarians also tend to have lower blood pressure than meat-eaters

An acre of land can produce 10,000 pounds of green beans, 30,000 pounds of carrots, 50,000 pounds of tomatoes, but only 250 pounds of beef. The wider adoption of vegetarianism would lead to better use of resources and better protection of the environment.

Medical research has shown that on average, a lifelong vegetarian visits the hospital 22 per cent less often than an average meat-eater.

A study conducted over 13 years by Oxford University concluded that vegetarians were 40 per cent less likely to suffer from certain cancers. Vegetarians are also 50 per cent less likely to suffer from gall stones and less likely to suffer from diet-related diabetes.

You only ever need a small amount of Iron in your diet, 8 milligrams a day to be exact. Chicken and Beef have over 10 milligrams of iron per 100g, way more than enough! Also if you're eating more than one serve of meat a day, you're going to have some severe health problems. Doesn't take a doctor to tell you that!

Here's your bloody source.

Hey Wingnut, does that study also include the exercise and lifestyle habits of those that took part in the surveys? Being the conscientious type that would strictly follow a vegetarian diet, wouldn't they be more inclined to indulge in a healthier lifestyle as well, rich with conscientious diets and conscientious yoga sessions, and conscientious tut-tuts at the maccas and potato chip snuffling b*stard meat-eaters?

Insulting NC & vegospamming us with propaganda is unlikely to get the result you are after - Unless the result you are after is an ongoing flame war.

Then again you vege warriors may all be the same bored troll........

Meat may be murder but its fricken tasty

I'm not a vegetarian but I know for a fact it's a healthier life style than eating meat. I was just trying to list some of the known facts.

I don't really care if someone is a vegie or not, I'm going for a burger now!

9 out of 10 cannibals agree--vegetarians taste better!
