Like I don't know ANYONE who would be that f**ken irresponsible though eh.
I need to find a new summer spot as I just get ignored these days. the odd shark call and look like you're about to paddle real quick still gets the odd one going.

I think as responsible forum members we need to alert the public to this massive influx of summer sharks by mentioning here each day the amount of sharks we see each day as the media are only mentioning the very unusal occurances as to not effect tourism adversly.

I'm more interested about this poor guy in your link:

"The alerts came as a 40-year-old man, from Bowen in north Queensland, died after breaking his neck on a submerged rock while surfing off on the NSW Central Coast.

He and his wife, and at least one teenage daughter, were staying with family and friends at The Entrance for the holidays. A report is being prepared for the coroner."
The wave at Curl Curl is so good they had to name it twice

I think i saw one of them out at curly. Was a big fin out there with the jet ski's running around.

Safe to say ill be heading north this coming sunday as they are likely to hang around for a while. I think we should put some posters up to warn people.

Bondi seems OK from what I heard, just northern beaches for some reason seems to attract them every Jan/Feb.
These ones must be early or in a hurry

Watched the youtube video. Great brains of fisherman, new sport extreme fishing, take lots of rods and tackle, chum and tuna bait in the kayak with you, fly rods especially good, pick a known drop off shark haunt and get in your small kayak. Use wire trace and enjoy your own personal water craft at high speed. The dorsal fin on your powered device will guarantee unhindered access of tow in at the break of your choice mostly all brownwater.
Whatever right up there with complaining about electrocution while train surfing. There is a video out somewhere showing shark surfing. Goat boat removal device patented #125467
Jaffa, I'm opinionated, and I'm sometimes right. So?

Those 2 were smaller Sparky, as was the one today that was in really close. Probably coz there were no waves and these fish were in close to shore.
They're advising caution on northern beaches for the next week.

It must be shark season- or maybe lots more people on the beaches = more sightings= more interest from the sharks- from ABC news-

"Shark sightings frequent in Adelaide's gulf

Posted 40 minutes ago

Map: Grange 5022
Sharks are proving a continuing problem for swimmers along the Adelaide coast.

A large shark was spotted near Grange, in the western suburbs, on New Year's Eve and swimmers alerted to leave the water.

Police divers encountered a four-metre shark in the same area a week earlier.

Senior Constable John Anderson says the shark circled him and his diving partner for about five minutes.

"Its tendencies didn't seem to show it was thinking of attacking in that it just maintained a distance of about three or four metres and swam around us," he said.

"We had a shark deterrent device on us at the time and we were just hoping that was what was keeping it away from us."

There have been dozens of shark sightings along the coast in recent weeks, with the numbers already eclipsing the total number of sightings last summer."
