Hi all

MONDAY:
Okay, we seem to have survived the update process... so far!

SUNDAY:

Don here with a head's up re the forums.

I'm planning to do a major upgrade to the script that makes these possible. At a minimum it will take several hours to transfer the data. (our number one goal is not to lose any of your wonderful posts!!!)

My hope is to get this odious task knocked over at some point on the evening of Sunday 14 Dec 2008.

okay, we're just having a go now as of 2010 Sunday night. All those Butts pics mean we have a shiteload to shift to the new instance... hope it works!!!

IMPORTANT: we can't guarantee that your brilliant postings made from this point on will get transferred. Everything posted before 2010hrs should be safe though. Of course once the transfer is complete, posts will once again be saved in the usual way.

this is taking a long time. Apparently it requires one to sit and click 'continue' at one minute intervals for 3-4 hours...

Groovy. Ross did it! Our new forums up and running... now all that needs to happen is for yours truly to get the design fixed up. I seem to be able to log in okay... hope it all works when everybody turns up to start posting...

p.p.s. :lol: now there's an online thingy showing if you are, does this mean lurkers will not be hidden no more? what about trolls, do they get an online bar for each identity? KK's will look like a big fat striped Where's Wally shirt.
