Moving to Tassie
Orright, now enough with the two head jokes etc etc!!
I need some serious thought into what freeken suit to buy so as to still pursue my obsession!!
I'm thinking about one of the H Bombs, but for $1500 there's a lot to think about!!
My current 3/2 is on it's last legs, and to surf longer than 4-5 months over there you really need a 4/3 as well.
So my predicament is this: buy two suits for close to $1200 or shell out the extra $300 on one of these suits with the heater in them?
I'm a little weary of the tech and if you read on the website they only come with 12 months guarantee.
There is word Billabong is looking into developing one as well?
What do you reckon??

hey swift
where abouts specifically are you moving to?
i was in tassie a week ago and got by in a 3/2 sealed, but im in boardies on the south coast (nsw) now. If i was living there i would get a decent 4/3 with booties and a hood, thats what most of the locals were wearing anyway, some had kidney belts aswell. Anyway best of luck, im pretty jealous!

Buy a good flexible 4/3 and use it in summer as well. That way you will be okay in winter and toasty in summer. Keep your old 3/2 or a spring suit for the hottest days in summer.
Cheapest option is therefore 1 quality suit as your main suit.
I've worn a 4/3 in summer for years - on early mornings, cooler days, no sun or a cool SW wind in summer a 4/3 is good.

"couple of decent point days with a handful out" ??? more like a couple a year with 50 plus desperates out.
Tassie's a often crappy beach breaks or a lot of driving to fickle spots.
If you have lots of time and can drop everything to chase quality hours driving away and put up with the dud trips you get quality and often not many people but it's not surf city here.
But to compensate we love:
- chasing tourists with banjos in hand, wild eyes and pairs of white y-front undies clenched in our teeth
- roasting Tassie Devil facial tumours on the fire as appetisers before a surf
- riding white pointers bare back in our speedos on flat days.
Beats Burleigh barrels with Peter Drouyn sunbaking topless on the beach any day
