The Belgian Beer Cafe is already fully booked for that night, too many xmas parties on round town that night.
So... where we gonna go now?
I could give the Bavarian on York a call?

Reasons:
Cheap and available with food and a rooftop venue
Parking.
5 transport nodes:
Star City bus to town
Light rail either to west (Leichhardt or city)
Bus to city
Drunken stroll downhill and across the Pyrmont bridge to York St or northern beaches bus terminus at Wynyard or the underground rail station to north shore line.
Little chance of offending anyone (it is Pyrmont remember)

I'm thinking that we will all have to look after our evening meal for ourselves and then find somewhere that will have us, in other words any pub anywhere in town.
Is that where we are up to? Too late now to book a table anywhere that also has free flowing beer and loud people.
Is the Belgium Beer cafe just a sit-down meal arrangement?

I say, despite the prices, the Opra bar is the go, fcuk yas! It's outdoors for smokers, hot chicks in abundance, you can spew in the harbour, there's various food vendors, it's close to ALL transport, it's picturesque, there's tonnes of standing room and we don't need to book, no dress code (Butts can wear flip-flops if he so desires)... etc-fcuking-etc.
That place sucked the wang. expensive, minimal beer choice, excessive queues, too many suits.
Okay:
The Macquarie Hotel in Sydney. meet up in Alices Thai restaurant (upstairs) for some chow, enjoy some brews from the onsite microbrewery, kick on with some funk as the mac is the home of funk in Sydney! it's all too easy (as long as a booking is available). For those that don't wanna commit to a sit down meal, then they can loiter in the main bar until we has finished chowing.
