Breaking News – Hawaiin Surfing Myth Dispelled
It has been long thought that the origins of surfing were first developed as part of the ancient Hawaiin culture but in an amazing discovery, palaeontologists have discovered evidence of surfing much early, some 45,000 years ago.
It is now believed that Cro-magnon man first ventured into the surf on large and unusual shaped surf-craft carved from trees. These large wooden craft were also used in some sort of worship as shown here in this re-enactment …
It is also believed that Neanderthal man, who co-existed with Cro-magnon man, also attempted early forms of surfing after witnessing Cro-magnon’s achievements. Despite having a larger cranial area the Neanderthal brains were incapable of managing the complexities of stand up surfing and the Neanderthals were only able to ride waves lying down.
It is belived that the earliest forms of humour were also developed by Cro-magnon man upon seeing the Neanderthals attempting to surf lying down, and it is also believed that modern forms of social inferiority complexes were first developed by the Neanderthals as a result.
