Coffee and wine are pretty shit as well
As for where I live, well, that's a very different story of the gastronomic delights on offer

Steve. I rarely eat out. I cook. As long as there's a good fishmonger somewhat nearby that I can stock up from once a month all will be sweet. And a monthly trip to Melbournes outer suburbs to stock up on the more ethnic food stuffs.
Plus. I will be able to go for the odd surf with groots here and there. Edge him into a few barrels

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Yes. The ice caps would melt and the whole place would end up in the piss.
I'll start packing the car up in order for a dawn departure.

Re: Phillip Island
When you decide to move down here don't forget there are lots more towns and waves in the area than just on the Island. PM me and ill let you know some of the other places. Cheap, not as crowded and no traffic jams.
I surf on the island maybe once or twice a year.
Its a very relaxed life down here, food is getting a lot better with some nice places opening up. I bought a nice 3 bedroom house on a good block well under $300k and about 750m from the beach. Every house directly around mine is a holiday home and they are down maybe 5 times a year.
I drive up to the Hallam/Pakenham/Dandenong area for work and find it very easy. And have flexible hours so can surf mid week even in the middle of winter. Takes exactly an hour to get to Pakenham and 0 traffic
Ps Powlett just after low yesterday was pumping!

Re: Phillip Island
the father of one of little bazza's classmates grew up near leongatha and was telling me the other day a bit about that area. i'd never ever thought about it before but later i got on google maps and was checking out the farmland between there and wonthaggi and thinking it looked pretty interesting, and saying leongatha and wonthaggi to myself over and over was pretty fun too.

Re: Phillip Island
now my mate's mum lives in an old farmhouse outside leongatha and whenever he goes back for a family visit his two kids go wild running around with their cousins and have to be dragged away when it's time to come back, they can't understand why they have to live in hanoi when nan's place is so much nicer.

Re: Phillip Island
if the reason you're leaving maroubra is to get away from that grumpy kneelo at the north end, then you should probably know that PI is overrun with carpet layers...they love it down there.
Re: Phillip Island
? Think u got ur wires crossed there . I have no prob with any of the kneeboarders out Maroubra though I recall someone else on here mentioning something ?purple pyramids wrote:if the reason you're leaving maroubra is to get away from that grumpy kneelo at the north end....
And if it's who I think is being referenced then he's a good guy, and surfs well. The left off the north point is mostly a kneelo or boog wave anyway.
