Mid week isn't much better sometimes either. I've rocked up at like 3 PM to find weekend like crowds. Lots of drop ins and frustration. It's getting visibly worse each year.

Perhaps a tartan number?

Fark me dead!!!! Is this for real? I haven't surfed for 2 weeks since coming back from the Ment's and now I know why.

"Life is better when you surf" - May have something to do with it, or should it read "Life is better when you think you can surf"........

Looks like Freshie. DY was just as crowded - and to make it worse some wankers had fenced off the only half decent spot for a surf comp  .

The 'humans' are idiots! Cruel to themselves, to one another and to other living things!! Vain, arrogant, greedy, gangly, dawdling, ignorant, insensitive, unimaginative!!! It will be a cinch: we'll let them wipe themselves out, then glide in, settle and watch as the planet realises its true destiny as one of the rare jewels of the barren universe!

Unfortunately they are not photoshopped as in adding to the crowd...they are the real deal.

I just compressed them for the web & adjusted the auto levels as the sun was overexposing them a bit.

They were shot from a video camera with a long lense.

This does compress the crowd quite a bit, but still heaps of people in the water (50 +) I didn't count them.

hopefully this is a good deterrent for some people

Thursday was the day. See below

Sorry for the slow reply...had stuff to do.

Doesn't take long for the stereotypical 'surfer' to come out on these posts does it ?

What's GSI got to do with this topic bro ?

Why can't you bloke's who cling to the unrealistic values of the 'locally shaped' surfboard being the only option give it up........fark me.

'Life is better when you surf' is an involvement, not a money grab, a lot of time, effort and money has gone into contributing to many less fortunate people and volunteer programs, yep, they make money but they are putting in too - Disabled Surfers owe GSI massively for one.

They also sponsor this site and I'm sure Don appreciates it !

Enjoy surfing, live for sufing, share your experience, get shacked, stay stoked and pass it on to everyone - every negative can be turned on it's head and be a positive experience.....bright side of the crowd (which sux but whinging don't change it - just makes you like like a dickhead), you'd be ripping it up amongst all those guys and feeling good about yourself for one seeing as your just back from 'The Ments' and all.

The only way i would buy a scarf would be to muffle the screams.

F@#k me dead! What a crowd... how many waves on average do you reckon everyone there gets in a two hour session? Count drop-ins as a half.

hey - thats me in there - bloke on the left, bit behind that other fella!!

Seriously - it was really crap out there this morning - but I went for a paddle because it was my mates wedding and the boys had to have a wave on wedding day.

Must have been a few other weddings today - because you wouldnt have bothered for any other reason!
