this is gettin way off the thread subject but surfing with my son is great fun, he did his firstreal floater yesterday and is starting to look for the barrell, its a big buzz or me.....

The AquaBat only has 3 or 4 days before it heads OS, kinda wish Butts was going with his camera and maybe me too....cant wait to see the footage from this trip....

Yeah, maybe these October school hols. May even buy a little spring suit for the tacker. Needs a bit more confidence in the water, but there's only one way to get that.

At last,its time to don the black cape,slide down the batpole and rendezvous
with the batmobile and we're of into the Pacific with a 10 to 15 sec period swell forecast for the next week. yeehaa. Just gota get it back in one piece!

good luck gettin thru customs in the cape and mask, they didnt let me :roll: , hope you get great waves and take heaps of pics and footage...amped to see it...hope you bring her back in one piece but if she happens to break, please bring back the pieces :( have a great trip :D 8)

The Bat has arrived-the quiver ready for packing-excuse the poor photo,it's pissin down outside and my real camera gets back from a snow trip tonite.

20 years or 20 days old, that board looks like a great, reliable, step-up!!

Bought it off Dave Gyngell (now head of channel nine) in the late eighties.
Dont know who shaped it.

just wear all your clothes on the plane..... definitely got all surf conditions covered there, 3 very different boards....ENJOY

It's actually got "The Buzz" written on the bottom.I thought that might have been who it was custom made for.I bought it for a backup board for a G-land trip but never rode anything but my 7'2 as it didnt get below 6' in 3 weeks I was there.Since then i've only ridden it when its bigger (few times a year).
