Have any surf adventurers been here?

Post by Lairdy » Sun Jun 01, 2008 9:52 pm

I was having a browse on Google maps.

Has this spot / land been surfed?

Can anyone work out whether it would be any good?

Would certainly require a hefty steamer ;)

"French Southern & Antarctic Lands"

Excuse the lengthy link:

looks like there's already been some interest...

they posted a picture of "the Kerguelen Islands line up" but don't know if anyone has ever surfed there.

apparently there are 50-100 French scientists based there ,

shouldn't be too hard to track down an email address

Sorry Wanto. The first one would have had the photo but would have had indo or the maldives in text - something to do with the meta data on the page..?, so I updated the link...

Yep looks like French scientists could hold a few comments as to whether the waves are any good...
