Shoulder Injury - HELP!

Post by Kunji » Tue Jan 22, 2008 11:50 am

I screwed my shoulder taking a drop out the point yesterday arvo. Cant lift my arm. I was wondering if anyone knows any good Sports Physicians on the Northern Beaches they can suggest.

Cheers.

no rollerblading for at least a month.

Seriously though: not on the N beaches, but in Chatswood I have used these guys before and found them very good. Ask to see Errol Lim, he's the sports injury specialist.

There are good sports physios and doctors at the Narrabeen Fitness centre.

If you PM , I can give you name of a sports doc at Hornsby who I have used for my shoulder and other injuries. I can highly recommend him.

there's a really good one at Monavale.. (think they've got a place at Manly too)

http://www.mgsphysio.com.au/

had a young dude named scott sort my shoulder out for me when i screwed my rotator-cuff (thing that holds arm in shoulder socket)..

he's a surfer too so he knew how to tweak it and was sweet, no problems since..

they also do house calls if you're feelin lazy

YanksR: I think Jeff Pross is a foot specialist

Coops: go to
Narrabeen Sports Medicine Centre
Sydney Academy of Sport
Wakehurst Park Way
NARRABEEN NSW 2101
Tel: (02) 9971 1188

- any of the doctors there can help but I'd personally recommend Dr John Lennard for shoulders.

Don't delay, shoulders can get really f###ed up very easily and they don't self-repair, the longer you leave it the worse it gets.

Thanks for your help fellas. I went and saw Jeff Pross at DY. He was very helpful and located the problem right away. He showed me on skeletons what was wrong and was more than happy to explain in detail any questions i had. He treats it commonly in footy players scoring tries.

The tenden of my Supraspinatus muscle was most probably torn by the drop and is now swollen and inflamed. I will have to get an MRI tomorrow. Which comes at a bad time as i am on holidays from Friday and the swell is coming. :x

 That’ll do him. Just kick harder and forget the paddling.

I mean I could be nasty like Beanpole, hang on this IS my nasty year! So tell me Coops, the ‘shoulder’ allegedly represents our ability to carry our experiences in life joyously. We make life a burden by our attitude. So Coops, are you making life a burden with your attitude? What attitude, right?

Seriously, good luck with a speedy and complete recovery young super SCoops.
