the fans club allocation for Gold tickets in the front half of the dancefloor went in 10 minutes.
Seriously, if you want to get tix you'll have to be alert otherwise they'll be gone and youre likely to miss the (possibly) last maiden show in Australia... and that'd piss you off knowing that a johnny come lately fan like me (bought my first maiden album in May this year) has a ticket and you dont MWahahaahhahaaa

motorhead's 'ace of spades' and iron maiden's 'run to the hills' were both on rage last night.Shaunm wrote:A melodic commercial version of Motorhead
everytime i bought acid from the astra hotel in bondi, run to the hills always seemed to be playing on the jukebook in the pool room. i should have paid more attention.
I tried to get into Motorhead Shaunm, but I found that if yav heard ace of spades and one other song, then yav heard em all, very simplistic and quickly boring, but thats just IMO... I also find the dudes voice very grating.Shaunm wrote:A melodic commercial version of Motorhead
Nappy: you're a nancy boy, I'm sure you'd be happier at a Justin Timberlake gig with your bling and 'man bag' or are you one of these little feckers that thinks that a limit of three chords over size shorts, a truckers cap and some attitude makes for good punk music...
limpo.
PS, I got this email in my inbox when I got to work this morning, its from the admin of the Iron Maiden fanclub, so if ya want tix I wouldnt dilly-dally:
Apologies for the bulk message if you're not involved in the pre-sale!
Ticketek have now released ALL the gold tickets for all the venues. We sold way more than they anticipated and GA Gold is starting to run low, so if you want these tickets, get them now!
Any code problems (your expired code should work fine now) then let me know. If you are unhappy with the tickets you already purchased, please contact us and we will try to help.

As opposed to that classic hair-metal falsetto of the Maiden guy? I swear the bloke from the Darkness bases his vocals on that guy.WANDERER wrote:I tried to get into Motorhead Shaunm, but I found that if yav heard ace of spades and one other song, then yav heard em all, very simplistic and quickly boring, but thats just IMO... Motorhead are one of the great rock'n'roll (I won't call 'em metal) bands & it is probably true that you only really need the first four or five albums, but that don't take away one iota of the quality of Lemmy & co. Hell, the same can be said for the Ramones but they're still among the most important bands in rock'n'roll history.
All a matter of taste Wanderer for sure, but I can't wait for the Motorhead show in a couple of weeks.
