Swell In Vicco!

Post by 2nd Reef » Mon Jul 16, 2007 9:39 am

Just checked the cams and it looks like the Great Vicco Swell Drought of '07 has finally broken. 3' - 4' at Torquay and 6' + on the East Coast. Supposed to get bigger in the next coupla days too.

So how was it Ringo / Sarge / D'Bolt / AZ?

13.2, that's about the same temp as around here. Does that hoodie help keep you really warm, even in really windy conditions because alot of crew are wearing them around here atm?

Can never get in the earlies anymore as I start work at 4am and tonights out of the question, but hopefully can sneak in a few surfs mid week. Gonna be rusty after so much downtime.

Ringer, I once surfed a winter down here a few years back in nothing but boardies and a rashie  only wetsuit I had was my old mans from the 70's which was so tight it prevented movement of any kind, so it was shorts or nothing. Still wonder what I was thinking when I hit the winter water these days. Neeeever again.

That was like having sex for the first time again

Took today off and headed west of the cape. Scored an old fav reef @ about 4-5ft for 1.5hr, with three others, then couldn't paddle anymore.

I felt unfit, slow, kookish and very cold but so stoked just to get wet in some quality :)
