Breaking the Flatspell: The Mexican Spite Thread

Post by Kunji » Wed Jun 06, 2007 12:10 pm

Who of you fine New South Welshmen are sick of these Mexicans scoring heaps of waves lately while we are pulling our hair (and dreads) out?

Well i am! :x

They rub it in and say things like "... its only 4 foot, im all surfed out" and "... i cant ask Hughy any more, we're spoilt".

This is a spite thread for those very Mexicans. Just so happens that Hughy has a solid swell for this week and weekend. Ben???

Vent all your fustration here at them, whilst getting ready for our turn.

I surfed Curly at the sparrows fart this morning and the water was beautiful. Still 20 degrees I believe. No wind really as well. 4 ft sets. No 4 x 3 straight jacket for me.

It still doesn't make up for what they got. :x

Ahhh, that embodies everything about a typical NSW early winter. Warm water and medium size and favourable winds.

*Anger subsiding, slightly*

p.s. Vicco dont barrel. :P

It does suck to live in Vicco, I mean all we have is the Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro, the MCG, The Australian Open, The Australian Grand Prix, Warney, Southern Ocean Swells, small crowds in wintertime line-ups etc....

We wish we could have the Bra Boyz as our spiritual leaders of surfing culture too :P :P

East Coast Vic is only going to be 3 foot this weekend. I think I might sleep in on Saturday, that's pretty average down here at the moment :D

We got Layne Beachleys comp, the SCG, some tennis comp out at Homebush in Summer, V8's at Eastern Creek, plenty of rugby idiots who get on the piss, cheat on their wives etc., warm water swells, small crowds if you're in the know and yes, we have the Bra Boys.

End of story.

At least when it's flat here the weather's still nice.

ps which state fostered a football code, has the vast majority of teams in it, yet haven't won a premiership in ... how long?

pps which city encourages band names such as Augie March and Architecture In Helsinki?

ppps Warney.

Great responses lads. For the record I live about a half hour drive from about 10 different surf breaks that are all pretty diverse.

V8's at Eastern Creek pffft! Sandown 500, Phillip Island, Winton etc... although you do have Bathurst but then the greatest driver of them all that conquered it 9 times, Brocky, was a Vicco as well!!!!

And NC that state also fostered a Rugby team that won the NRL comp in like their second year, spawned the mighty Melbourne Victory that flogged the competition last year, including Archies 5 goals, and yeah granted no Vic team has won the AFL in 6 years or so but everything moves in cycles down here. At least we play a proper Australian game and not some pommy import!

At least we don't live in a city that is a pommy import.
