The north banks are rock solid, regardless of conditions at the moment. Even in onshore grovel it holds shape. Never seen them so good. South end is a write off though. Wonder if the dredging in the Botany Bay for the extended airport runway has anything to do with it.

Oh. And there was a tall pommy looking goofy footer out there this morning , riding a crimson red Campbell bros bonzer. A mate of yours ?

There was about 30 aussie blokes riding a range of boards yesterday, mates of yours?

No, not a mate of mine. What shape bonzer?

Well I can't say. He was riding it,I wasn't. But it all looked a little underwhelming and ill suited for the marginal conditions. All he was really doing was bottom turn, draw up into a baseline trim, shoot the curl etc. with not much turning or cutting back going on. Clean but boring looking. Whether that was down to him or the board or both I don't know. That said, it wasn't really a HPS kinda day either and he was probably doing better than a lot of others out there on under volumed shortboards. I had the 6'0 single fin egg out there and had fun. It was pretty slow and weak surf, even though well shaped. A longboard would've been great out there today.

Been riding my twin keel over the last 4 very similar sessions. Had a blast.

Swellnet's calling it head high this morning. I checked a few beaches and it was waist high at best. Do they do these reports by checking the cams from bed?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

They said "sometimes 3ft sets" today.

Best approach is assume that it's only ever going to be about 80% as big as the reports say it is or will be. Take two boards. One in case the reports are right, and more of a grovel board in case they're not.

CC today - better than expected, out of the NE wind and the crowd dropped off around noon (and much better than my grovel last Tuesday)

Nicks local. Some clean zippy ones. No bald headed midgets in the line-up.

1-2 foot crumbly peaks. Couple of bowly sections, but overall uninspiring

Yeah it is pretty bad. Even smaller than conditions during yesterday's high tide.
