Re: Where did you surf today ?
there was this "dude" about to paddle out at sunshine beach this morning. skinny cat with shoulder length mess of untrimmed hair. full beard and mustache. short sleeve collared button up shirt, that looked like he'd got it from an op shop. short shorts. and a sub-five foot coolite twin fin keel looking thing tucked under his arm, no legrope.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Lol. Caaaalm down. What so you actually do wear button up shirts in the surf? Are they wax repellant fabric? Fashion before function ?el rancho wrote:Don't 'oh cmon dude' me after you just said that's how i dress for a surf
Re: Where did you surf today ?
NO. Wouldn't matter he bought the button up from. I was just piecing together the whole picture. Why on earth would you choose to wear a button up shirt versus a purpose built wetshirtskipper wrote:wowHatchnam wrote:there was this "dude" about to paddle out at sunshine beach this morning. skinny cat with shoulder length mess of untrimmed hair. full beard and mustache. short sleeve collared button up shirt, that looked like he'd got it from an op shop. short shorts. and a sub-five foot coolite twin fin keel looking thing tucked under his arm, no legrope.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
popped collar would make sense. you know, extra sun protection
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I'd bet money you've worn one in the surf, more than once. Don't worry it gets worse. I just saw my forth man hair-up-in-a-bun for the day. And that's within only a short period of time. Noosa is crawling with man buns.el rancho wrote:Sometimes it's too easy with youHatchnam wrote:Lol. Caaaalm down. What so you actually do wear button up shirts in the surf? Re: Where did you surf today ?
I have family that live in Noosa.
Queensland beachies were in full swing this arvo .Wind washed mess with a back bank that breaks then immediately fizzles out into a deep gutter and dies completely, then followed by a crossed up shore dump at about half the size accompanied with a sweep grinding full speed down the beach.

When they turn on up there they are world class though
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Absolutely. When they're on, they totally outclass any southern beach break.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Those "Southerners" probably are from Byron Bay running away from the sharks. But there's plenty of those bun-boys swarming around the northern beaches too, Avalon is the epicentre.Hatchnam wrote:Don't worry it gets worse. I just saw my forth man hair-up-in-a-bun for the day.
