Yeah I know, that's why I don't use them anymore, but these flights were booked by my wife ages ago. The check-in staff in Perth don't seem to care, but I've heard the staff in Bali can be pricks about it. And it's not about paying a bribe either, they just won't let it through sometimes.Hatchnam wrote:Jetstar limit for domestics flights is 6'2 including board bag .marauding mullet wrote:Aaannd I just bought that horrible sacrificial pommy pogo stick to leave behind if Jetstar wouldn't bring it back.
It's only on short haul flights where they use the A320 domestic or international. All my boards are over 6'3" and I'm not taking the chance of having to leave one behind in the airport at Bali.

How old is she SS?steve shearer wrote:took my daughter out for her first surf at the Point.
it was sheet glass perfection not a drop of water out of place. head high on the sets. Probably a tad too big for comfort but she nailed the rockoff and got five waves including an absolute freight train.

11....not that young in the scheme of things. But she seemed pretty tiny out there amongst a crowd of male rippers.

That's awesome Steve. Good on her. Dunno if I'd have surfed the ox at 11.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
MM: I have a tassie trip coming up with Jetstar . I'm capping my board length at 6'0 max. Just to be sure. And will make damned sure that whatever cover I buy doesn't exceed 6'2.

That's young for a girl that age at a spot like that. Kudos to you and her.steve shearer wrote:11....not that young in the scheme of things. But she seemed pretty tiny out there amongst a crowd of male rippers.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Well that was a fun session earlier today. A bit too crowded in the south corner but good.......how much beach has been ripped out down there?
It really drops off to bare rock. Must have lost 2 metres of sand at least.
Tried to snare a few then paddled up the beach and attempted various sections before sussing out the good bit. Still plenty of mongs about. Heaps of inside right handers and one really fast left with interesting hollow sections to trim on my "midlength".
